Southern Illinois Energy Scholarships
Eligibility
Our targeted group is community college transfer students interested in engineering and science majors in energy related fields. This would include a major in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Electrical Engineering Technology
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Plant Biology
- Geology
- Geography
- Architectural Studies
- Agriculture Sciences
- Agriculture Systems and Technology Management
- Crop, Soil and Environmental Management
Our eligibility criteria includes financial need and a minimum GPA of 3.0 at the time of applicaiton. Most importantly, a student should express an interest in an energy-related major.
In addition, recipients must be citizens of the United States, nationals of the United States (as defined in section 101(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act), aliens admitted as refugees under section 207 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, or aliens lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence. Please note that Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) individuals are ineligible for support from this solicitation unless they meet the previous requirements.
